Oh god, I feel so conflicted about the upcoming Merlin episode! I'm going to discuss the nature of spoilers behind the lj-cut and I'll be using examples, so there will be spoilers for Merlin episodes 2x4 to 2x8, and for Merlin 2x9 what we've seen in trailers so far, the synopsis and at the end of episode 2x8.

I'd planned on doing more rambling and capping, but I ended up just watching the last 10 minutes of this episode without pausing and I really don't feel like trying again. So this is it.

Some short first reactions. Will definitely have to watch it again to get to something a little more coherent.

-- loreley_se found a picture of Colin and one of Anthony. When you follow the link to the 'A night less ordinary' site, you'll find info about this project and a clip of the cast from 'Being Human' promoting it. Something similar is supposed to be up for the Merlin cast at some point. Well, promoting theater is always a good thing!

-- She also found that for the BBC Children in Need Auction (the charity with Pudsey the bear) the Merlin team has put some stuff up on Ebay. Check it out over here.

-- Here are some YouTube backstage and interview clips. The interviewer is terribly cute and Welsh and seems to be quite smitten with Katie which is adorable I must say. I love the Welsh accent and although I don't understand a word he's saying it's pretty clear what he's talking about and all the interviews are in English: introduction, Colin, Bradley, Katie and Richard.

I never notice these things, but this time I did:

In this entry (which contains spoilers for episode 2x7) sophinisba mentions a fic that has some damn impressive imagery regarding Merlin's magic and how he's got 'so much magical energy pouring off him that sometimes he just has to go into the woods and slow the trees growing'.

Needless to say that was something that made me shiver in delight and now I can't find that fic anymore... Can anyone help out?!

[edit] It looks like I've got things completely mixed up somehow because the story mentioned indeed has that passage while I was certain I'd read it in a canon era fic. *puzzled*

Just got a call from work; if I could fill in for a sick colleague. Now I love my job and I love my colleagues and they're always very sweet about fixing the work schedule around my (sometimes last minute) fanish activities so really, I couldn't and didn't want to say no.

Still I would rather have had today off and when I get home from work Merlin will already have started so I have to postpone watching it until later tonight.

There are worse things, I know, I know. Just allow me to pout for a little while and I'll be good the rest of the weekend. Promised.

I won't get online until after I've seen the episode though!

Huh, weird that. I've got 2 days of working early to late ahead of me and I would rather be playing with you lot.

Oh well, I do have a nice job and lovely colleagues, so it'll be all right!

Today I watched the episode for a 6th time and although I think I've already said a lot about it here and in other peoples journal there were a couple of things I hadn't mentioned yet so I'm going to do that here, behind cut, with caps, pretty randomly I might add.
